Meath County Council invites applications, under its Community Grants Scheme 2008 for grants for projects, which provide for the development of sporting, recreational, environmental, amenity, heritage and cultural facilities

Meath County Council invites applications, under its Community Grants Scheme 2008 for
grants for projects, which provide for the development of sporting, recreational, environmental,
amenity, heritage and cultural facilities in the County.

Examples of projects eligible for funding are:- Parks - Community arts projects - Amenity areas
- Playgrounds - Footpaths and walking areas - Recreational facilities - Community halls and resource
centres - Local heritage projects - including the restoration of old burial grounds.

Projects which show a combination of a range of guaranteed funding mechanisms such as
local sponsorship, lottery funding, Leader funding, Enterprise funding etc., will be particularly
encouraged.

Who may apply?
• Community groups and organisations within County Meath.

How much is available?
• Grants of up to 60% of the cost of capital expenditure subject to a maximum grant of €100,000
per project are available.
